Psalms 135:4 NIV: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.” 135:4 NIV: “to him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever.”
GIGS Journal Entry: Today I get my 5th Chemo treatment. I admit it’s harder to start this day knowing what the week will be like. I will face hard days on Thursday (day 4) and Friday (day 5). I worry that day 3 and day 6 will also be hard, like last time. I am concerned that I could have even more bad days with this treatment. Yes, it is hard to enjoy my morning coffee and my time with God today.
Then, this is the message I am given to read today. It is once again written for me. “His love endures forever.“ I am reminded that God is carrying me through this journey. Each day, each hour. He is my light in my darkness. He is my strength on my weekdays.
Taking the time this morning to read this chapter of Psalms gives me peace and strength to attack this day. To know that the liquid gold they will pump into my body today will heal me. I know this because of God’s love. His love endures forever.
Prayer: Help me Lord, to feel your love and presence this week, especially on my hard days. Thank you for this message today. Grant me your healing power.
